Larkspur, Colorado is a small town 43 miles south of Denver but it's also home to a Renaissance Festival & Artisans Marketplace which is an unusual and fun way to spend several hours.  Although vintage dress isn't required for admittance, many visitors get into the spirit by donning costumes.  And all the employees dress in Renaissance costumes.  In fact, one feels as if you've entered a village from the Middle Ages as soon as you walk through the doors of the castle.

Entertainment includes: mime, comedy and juggling acts, magic shows, acrobatics, vaudeville, hypnosis, flame breathers, bag pipes, enchanting fairy dance, singing at the Pirates Pub, fools, wood carving and jousting by the Knights of the Noble Cause Productions. Check Out Their Web-Site.

We've all seen it on movies many times and read about it in books but it's amazing to watch knights in armor actually jousting on horses. For a moment you can imagine you have truly stepped back in time. If you're in the area, check it out!
